Important details
Any eventual third-party appointment, quote or work agreement is arranged separately and must be confirmed with the independent contractor.
What this platform can and cannot do
Ohio Service Hub is an independent information and referral platform. It does not directly perform contracting work or guarantee a local provider.
Step 1: identify your issue
Choose among pest control, plumbing and HVAC, then select a focused guide. Notice which observations you can collect safely and which situations require urgent public emergency or utility help.
Step 2: submit only if intake is available
The inquiry form appears only when its secure database is configured. You must explicitly consent to storage and potential sharing with a verified independent provider. A submission is not a booked visit.
Step 3: confirm arrangements directly
If a properly reviewed and opted-in provider covers your ZIP, the server may assign the inquiry to that provider's restricted inbox. The provider still decides whether to respond and provide service; pricing and availability are not guaranteed.
Verify the business you might actually hire
Ohio's OCILB regulates covered commercial specialties, while local building and health departments regulate residential contractors and can set their own registration or license requirements. Before work, ask who will perform it, which local rules apply, whether permits are needed, and who is responsible for the written estimate and work agreement.
What an Ohio Service Hub call does not mean
The displayed number is a general inquiry line. It does not prove that a third-party provider is available for your ZIP, that the caller is connected to a licensed contractor, or that an emergency repair has been booked. Any later arrangement must be confirmed with the provider.
How an inquiry can be handled
- 1How an inquiry can be handled. Use the topic-specific pages and confirm the identity and qualifications of any third party before arranging service.
- 2A general-inquiry telephone call or a stored form receipt is not a promised appointment or emergency response.
Common homeowner questions
Will my details go to every contractor?
No. Only an active, manually verified, ZIP-eligible provider can be assigned the restricted record.
Government and primary-source references
External references support general guidance. They do not verify any specific contractor or provide a booking.
